My trial ate me. That is why I have been MIA for the last two weeks. My apologies everyone. Work called. And oh boy did it! Trials are the most demanding of tasks for the litigation attorney. It’s always amazing to me how much of the litigator’s time is totally embroiled in trial during a trial. I mean, if you are able to even check your email during the time you are in trial, then you are a rockstar in my opinion. Especially when trials last days, and more often than not, weeks on end. My total attention is fixated on my trial, and I feel derelict if I even attempt to focus on anything else regardless as to how I have managed my time and preparation for my trial. And let’s face it, we have a duty to our clients to remain focused during times of trial and totally devote all our time and attention to the pursuit of their interests within the tribunal.
So, my trial ate me last week and into this week. Things will get back to “normal” next week, please bear with me…I am..after all… a litigator. Time to go to court!
